We are a Christian couple living in Oxfordshire in England. Esther now teaches students how to play the drums at home and Ian is still working for GfK Mystery Shopping, a research company based in Oxford, part-time. The rest of Ian's time is spent working for Faringdon Baptist Church as their Assistant Church Leader.
For three years after secondary school (High School) we lived and worked at London School of Theology (formerly the London Bible College). There we learned to hone our skills as musicians and sharpen our minds in the word of God. College is the place we met and decided that we should marry.
After graduation (June 2004) we were married in Dorchester Abbey, moved into the annexe (apartment on the side of the house) at 41 Martins Lane. We were there for about a year and a half and moved into 5 Cole Court, Didcot. While on holiday in July 2006 we received a message that we would have to vacate the Didcot residence as the landlords wanted to sell the house. Although this saddened us a little, it spurred us on to see where God was going to take us next. And that was Buckland.
We lived in Buckland for an entire year! The little cottage was our home and although we froze in the winter, we could never make a decent fire and it flooded (twice!), it was a great place to live. It was short to commute to Oxford and it was just a few minutes to church on a Sunday.
When Ian was called to be the new Assistant Church Leaders of Faringdon Baptist Church the outgoing Asst. church leader offered us their new house in Faringdon for good rent. Something we were humbled and honoured by. Talk about all the believers sharing all their stuff! We gratefully accepted and have lived 'in town' ever since.
